THE BLIND CAN ACTUALLY SEE - ASABA BEGGARS UNION.

"Brother help my mother, help my mother."

With my Deputy Director, Iyke Omenogor we stopped to render our assistance to the poor boy..We wanted to give him money but we decided to take him away from

the street instead.

We asked him, "where is your mother?"... And he showed us a Blind woman sitting and singing melodiously.

We asked again, is that woman your mother (pointing to the blind woman), he said NO that the woman picked him up from the village.

Fast forward:

We opened the dark glasses and Behold, she's not blind. She confessed they are many working for a certain woman who provided accommodation for them.

We were able to arrest another woman who is also part of the the gang.

Note that

We took them away from the streets and handed them over to the police on instruction that they return the children back to their parents.

Please before you crucify us for arresting beggars, be aware we want to help the kids they involve in this incessant begging lifestyle and not depriving them of their means of livelihoods

Tomorrow,we will involve Delta State Ministry of Women Affairs to assist in reuniting the children with their real parents.
