A Police officer today shot a young man dead at Banana Junction Orlu Imo State. An eye witness among the commercial motorcyclists at the junction said that there was misunderstanding between the Police officers and the two young men which they suppose to be due to nose mask.
According to his narration, one of the Police officers first shot one of the young men in the foot which stirred up heated squabble between the officers of the Police and the men, one of them fought the police back with a cutlers and the Police man who is allegedly Hausa shot him several times before bullet could penetrate his body.
His death caused serious riot in whole town between Igbos and Hausas living in the town. A business space mostly occupied by Hausas which is known to the people of Orlu as Ama Hausa was ransacked by the youths, Orlu central Mosque was also shutdown.
Nawa oooooooo. Police that's meant to protect the citizens are now the people that kill the citizens.
