Ngige in an interview that marked his 68th birthday said that the concept of power rotation will make for the stability and fairness if it rotates back to the South. He said that even if it is not written in the party's constitution the stakeholders of APC agreed that it could be somewhat possible.
"It is not written in our constitution but for me it will make for stability and fairness if it rotates back to the South. I was in PDP, we practiced it. We do not have it in our constitution but we the farmers of the constitution of the APC agreed that it is something possible. I was one of the wise men that drafted the APC constitution with Chief Segun Osoba as head. That is what we agreed on; that we do not have to insert it but these are things that could be done by gentlemen agreement",he reveals.
Ngige further revealed that the gentlemen agreement on power rotation guided the party during it's presidential assembly where President Muhammadu Buhari emerged APC candidate in 2014.
When asked about the chances of South-east in the general election in 2023, Ngige said, he would not be attracted into discussing the issue now as the present administration is yet to complete it's second term in power.
