The A’ Division Police in Warri, Delta State, gunned down an unknown armed robbery suspect along Ejemudaro Road in Okumagba Layout in Warri at about 11:30am on Monday, August 10.
The dead
suspect, was reported to be member of a three-man robbery gang that operated on tricycle along Olamat Street, off Ejemudaro Road.

The Police patrol team in the area, received a call that three men suspected to be robbers, were operating on tricycle and the team immediately swung into action. According to witnesses, on seeing the police patrol team, the robbers allegedly opened fire and the police team equally returned fire, hitting one of the suspect, while the other two escaped with the tricycle.

Two expended cartridges, was said to be recovered from the suspect, who was confirmed dead at Central Hospital, Warri, where he was rushed to for medical attention.
