A foreign affairs ministry official, Mr Kimiebi Ebenfa, who was on board the flight, confirmed their arrival of the 188 Nigerians who left OR Tambo International Airport South Africa at around 4:00pm.
The returnees arrived Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos at around 9:34pm .
According to Mr EBenfa, the
flight was scheduled for 10:00am but was delayed by the slow check-in process and immigration clearnce.
There were 640 Nigerians who registered for evacuation due to xenophobic attacks, 313 were scheduled for Wednesday 11th September, finally 188 made it to Lagos.
