Nothern Governors React to Attack On Kaduna State




The recent attack that happened on Thursday in Southern Kaduna on Thursday has been seen as appalling by the Northern Governors Forum.

Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau, the Chairman of the distinguished Forum made a statement through his spokesperson, Makut Macham. 
In his statement he
described the attack as unfortunate and horrible. He went ahead to show concern about the incident saying that the criminals are yet to be apprehended.

The Governor worries that the attack on the villages are becoming indefinitely continuous regardless of the efforts of the Kaduna State Government and Security agencies put in place. He affirms that the attacks in the villages are sabotaging the efforts of the Kaduna Government in it's cause of peace and causing untold sorrows to the innocent villagers.

"We are deeply saddened by this cycle of violence and blood-letting that is carried out against unarmed and helpless people.
This is reprehensible and regrettable".
"While we call on the security agencies to rise up to the occasion and apprehend these criminals, we also encourage the citizens to assist with relevant intelligence that will lead to the arrest of these blood thirsty people" he said.

Governor Lalong sympathized with the victims and the Kaduna State Government while promising to support the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufia in bringing the continuous attacks to end.
He said any group affected should seek help through official channels than taking refuge in actions that will  lead to unstable situations.
