The Dass constituency representative in the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Honourable Musa Mante was murdered today by gunmen.
According to
sources, the lawmaker was murdered around 2am in his residence at Baraza, Dass Local Government Area of the state.
His wives and daughter, a year-old was also abducted by the bandits.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Ahmed Wakili confirmed the incident to Channels Television.
He said that the police has boost efforts to rescue the victims and arrest the offenders.
The corpse have been deposited at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi.
The deceased will be buried later today according to Islamic rites.
