South Africa Launches Smart Phone Company

A Dubai based Company Mara Technology company on Thursday opened South Africa's first Made in Africa Smartphone plant.

The company is set to develop and assemble smart phone components and produce about 1.2million Android based devices annually, according to NAN report.

The Presidential Election Tribunal on Wednesday confirmed the Qualification of Atiku's Lawyer, Livinus Uzoukwu SAN, Dismisses Application by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) seeking the disqualification of Atiku's Lawyer, Livinus Uzoukwu SAN.

The tribunal has responded to INEC's counsel, Ustaz Yunus Usman's argument that the processes endorsed by Uzoukwu were invalid because he is not a lawyer recognised by the Nigerian Judiciary.

The Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Mohammed Garba deduced that the March 18 list of counsel and witnesses and other processes filed before the tribunal are valid and competently signed by a legal practitioner whose name is on the Supreme Court of Nigeria's roll of legal practitioners.

Justice Garba in his word said "I have noted the processes, it is glaring that there is a seal of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) with the name of Levi Uzoukwu SAN on them"

Atiku also affirmed that Uzoukwu and the INEC's counsel, Yunus Usman were called together to the inner bar in 1999.

The petitioner stated that no other person that was called to Bar in 1982, bears the name Levinus Ifeanyichukwu Uzoukwu.

Okorocha Replies Ihedioha on Arrest Order

Okorocha in a statement released by his media aid, Mr Sam Onwuemeodo, replied Gov. Ihedioha on Arrest Order.
In the statement, Okorocha described the order for his arrest as an invitation to anarchy in Imo, while noting that the only reason given for the move to get him was that the people of the state were sympathetic to him.

“The arrest order was an open invitation to anarchy or fracas in the state because Imo people will always come out to defend Okorocha.

“It also shows insensitivity on the side of the government in the state because such arrest order was uncalled for and Onyeaguocha (the secretary to the state government) has no right to issue an order of that nature,” the statement said.
Noting that Okorocha had since May 29, relocated to Abuja, the statement added that the order was part of the disrespect the current government has for the former governor.

“He was in Abuja when the recovery committee members slapped the daughter, Mrs Uloma Rochas Nwosu, invaded and looted the shops of the wife, Nneoma and that of the daughter too. And just the previous week, Onyeaguocha invaded the private guest house of the former governor,” the statement added.

Okorocha noted that petitions against him had been written to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and other anti-corruption agencies, which are already investigating the issues raised. He, therefore, wondered why the state was resorting to self-help.

“They were rattled the day Okorocha came into the state for the first time after May 29, 2019, and he was received by a mammoth crowd. It then occurred to them that their blackmail and lies have not affected the love of Imo people for their beloved former governor
